PostScript/PDF File Creation Guidelines Desktop Checklist These forms must be filled out completely and supplied with the disk(s) and one complete set of full sized black & white lasers output from the files. It is also helpful to provide a printed out directory of all folders and files to assist us in our process. Your text files must be written in PostScript, and we prefer that they be converted to PDF's. View our help file for distilling black and white PostScript files It is also suggested to provide duplicate application files (Quark or PageMaker, MAC environment preferred). The application files should include all fonts being used along with any / all art and image files (do not use TrueType fonts and no font attributes are to be used). This way one way or the other we will be assured of a trouble free output at our end. COVERS Please complete a separate Desktop Checklist for the cover. The cover files are not to be submitted in PostScript or PDF but rather as application files (again MAC environment preferred). Please be sure to include all fonts, and art / image files and again, no TrueType fonts please. Be sure to properly size your cover for the correct trim size and of course allow for bleeds where applicable. We can also supply you with a dimensional cover template if you like, if you supply us with the trim size, page count, and preferred text paper of your book. Along with your files and completed checklist, please supply one composite laser, along with a set of full sized separated black & white lasers as well.
