Since the day we started, we’ve been family-owned, and we’ve made books in the same location on Main Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our small size and our close-knit crew (many of whom have been with the company for decades) allows us to easily communicate with each other, stay on top of projects, and maintain long, rewarding relationships with our customers.

Larger corporations often lose touch with the true meaning of teamwork, and they fail to stay in tune with customers’ needs. Book manufacturers around the world will tell you that they’re focused on “quality,” but “quality” is a very general word. “Quality” needs an adjective in front of it to truly mean something. A book can be of mediocre quality. It can be “so-so” or “just good enough.” But for our company, “somewhat decent” or “OK” are not ways we describe the books we produce.
